Can I speak to someone who is familiar with the TADA! library to advise me?

Yes! We are happy to discuss your needs. To set up a conversation, please email scriptmarketing@tadatheater.com.

What if I have an uneven balance of boys and girls for my production?

Here at TADA!, our company changes for every show, so most of our shows are written to be flexible in terms of casting boys and girls. Some of our productions, like SLEEPOVER, are geared towards more female cast members. Even so, with all of our musicals, the writers grant permission to change the gender of any of the characters. Please keep in mind that while you may change the gender of the role (and all relevant pronouns), you may not make other changes to the score or script.

What if I have the "wrong" number of performers?

Most TADA! shows are written for a flexible number of actors. Feel free to expand or reduce the size of the chorus, double up on parts, or double up on actors if necessary. The most flexible show, in terms of cast size, are EVERYTHING ABOUT CAMP (ALMOST),THE HISTORY MYSTERY & THE GIFT OF WINTER.

What if my kids cannot sing in the provided keys?

Our songs are written in keys that are accessible to most children and teens (the more challenging scores are noted in the catalog online). Please let us know if you need a song transposed or rearranged, and our Resident Music Director will be pleased to help you. Some of our scores are available to be transposed into any key; just let us know.

The following scores are available in any key: GOLLY GEE WHIZ!, HEROES, THE HISTORY MYSTERY, THE LITTLE MOON THEATER and THE TRIALS OF ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

The following scores contain certain songs available in any key: EVERYTHING ABOUT CAMP (ALMOST), EVERYTHING ABOUT SCHOOL (ALMOST), RABBIT SENSE, SLEEPOVER and SWEET SIXTEEN.

What if I don't have a large budget to put on a full-scale musical?

We keep our rental and royalty fees low so they remain accessible to all kinds of school groups, churches, community theaters and organizations. Our shows can be presented with large, extravagant sets or very simple designs. Also, consider doing the musical as an in-concert reading or recital. There are no restrictions or limits to how extensive your sets and costumes should be.

Why choose a TADA! musical?

Our shows are original material written specially for our organization. Unlike adult material that has been cut and pasted to fit a youth cast or audience, our shows are written specifically with kids in mind. Children and teens play characters that are age-appropriate and vocally-appropriate. Each show presents themes and issues directly related to youth, creating a more positive experience for your performers and audiences alike.

What if I have adult actors in my company?

All TADA! shows are written for performers 8-18, and that is how we perform them here at our theater. However, the exact age of each cast member is at your discretion. Please keep in mind that while the genders and ages of the roles are flexible, you cannot make changes to the lyrics or script.

The following scripts could easily accommodate adult members in the cast: B.O.T.C.H., THE GIFT OF WINTER, GOLLY GEE WHIZ!, THE GUMBALL GANG: CRIME-SOLVING KIDS, HEROES, THE HISTORY MYSTERY, THE LITTLE HOUSE OF COOKIES, THE LITTLE MOON THEATER, NEW YORK NEW YEAR, ONCE A YEAR ON CHRISTMAS EVE, THE PERFECT MONSTER, RABBIT SENSE, THE TRIALS OF ALICE IN WONDERLAND and WIDE AWAKE JAKE.
