Marketing Manager: TADA! Youth Theater, the Drama Desk Award-winning home for family performances, classes, school programs and free pre-professional training for talented kids, seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter to manage our marketing and communications initiatives. This Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of promoting productions and off-site events, year-round classes and camps as well as maintaining brand identity, web presence (including viral marketing), script rental, relationship with press representative and overall public recognition of the company. The Marketing Manager will manage House Manager and Box Office Manager, and will report to the Managing Director.

The ideal candidate will be extremely detail-oriented, results driven, a creative, entrepreneurial thinker, an excellent writer and designer with exemplary skills at achieving results, and a collaborative worker, who can roll with the punches in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will have excellent problem-solving skills; viral marketing skills, work well under pressure; take initiative, maintain fiscal responsibility and display flexibility in managing issues; and be able to multi-task many assignments of equal priority.

Candidates should have 3-5 years experience in non-profit arts marketing with a track record of success in reaching and maintaining audiences; proficiency in graphic design; and, most importantly, a positive, can-do attitude. Internship Opportunities: TADA!'s internship program offers students a hands-on opportunity to learn about the operations of a renowned youth theater and arts education organization. We are always looking for smart, motivated people to join our team.  Send us your resume and a cover letter telling us why you're interested in TADA!. College and graduate student interns can arrange to receive credit and may choose to complete a project in conjunction with their internship with the approval of TADA!'s management and we can work around your class schedule. Artistic Intern: TADA! seeks an Artistic Intern to join our team. Intern will report directly to the Executive & Artistic Director, Janine Nina Trevens, and to the Executive Assistant. An excellent opportunity to gain experience in the performing arts and be an active player in a great organization. Intern must be organized, computer proficient in MS Office software, able to multi-task, and possess the ability to function with a wide range of personalities and age ranges. The position requires working with youth and teens while assisting in rehearsals and Ensemble events. College credit available. Education Intern: TADA! is seeking Education Interns to support TADA!'s renowned arts education work through arts administration and/or direct teaching artist opportunities. In addition to providing hands-on assistance and observation of our Education Programs, interns will learn how to create, manage and produce effective theater programming for youth. Interns are expected to have a commitment to theater and education, provide administrative support to the Education staff, be well organized and have strong attention to detail, demonstrate computer proficiency, and commit to a consistent schedule for at least one month. Education Summer Interns: TADA!'s Education Department seeks qualified individuals to provide support and assistance to TADA!'s Education Department.  Internships primarily focus on assisting with TADA!'s Teaching Artists directly in the classroom during our Summer Week-long Musical Theater Camps and Afternoon Adventures programs, which are held at TADA! Monday - Friday, from June 7, 2010 until September 3, 2010.  Interns must commit to a minimum of 25-35 hours per week for a minimum of 4 weeks.

Specific responsibilities may include:

- assist with on-site musical theater week-long camps, Monday - Friday, 9:00-2:30;

- assist with Afternoon Adventures program for Monday - Thursday, 2:30-5:30 (3 or 4 weeks out of the summer);

-provide administrative support for TADA! Education Staff (i.e. assist with classes, help with arts management issues such as registrations, organizing song files, communicating TADA!'s overall philosophy, etc);

-contribute to the development of TADA!'s curriculum both in-house and off-site in the schools and community centers;

-(if interested) opportunities to research possible grant/funding opportunities for TADA!'s theater education work.

Requirements:

- Strong commitment to theater and education (note: our focus is primarily on musical theater)

- Interns must be current undergrads or graduate students in a college or university.  Degree focus in theater, musical theater, and/or education is a plus.

- Interest in working with youth/children (Summer programs are offered for students in Grades 1-8)

- Enjoy working with others - interns need to interact successfully with a wide range of personalities including staff, artists, volunteers, donors, and the general public; on the phone and in person.

- Interns must be proactive in supporting all aspects of the Education Department and actively participate, problem-solve, and assist with in-class activities.

- Proficiency in computer programs that work in word processing, databases and spreadsheets.

- Commit to a consistent schedule for a minimum of one month.

- May report to other staff members on various projects as assigned.

Please note: TADA! is unable to provide housing, transportation, or stipends for interns.  Equivalent course credit and/or fieldwork hours are available.

Administrative Intern: TADA! seeks to hire up to three administrative interns, each with a different concentration including general office assistance, business, and house management. Individual positions can be tailored to interns� interests. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in arts administration and in the workings of a non-profit organization. Intern candidates must be organized, computer proficient in MS Office software, able to multi-task, and possess the ability to function with a wide range of personalities and age ranges. All positions require working with youth and teens and may include assisting with Ensemble events. Interns must be able to take initiative with a project and see it through to completion. Production Intern: TADA! is looking for a Production Intern to join our team in providing assistance to our Production Department while learning about the operation of a youth theater from a production standpoint. Intern will report directly to the production supervisor and works closely with all production staff members. Intern should possess demonstrated computer skills, preferably with MS Word and Excel, and interact successfully with a wide range of personalities including staff, artists, volunteers, parents and a cast of kids, on the phone and in person.
