About TADA! Musicals
Cast: Most TADA! musicals includes several featured roles and an accompanying ensemble. TADA! commissioned these musicals for our Ensemble of performers ages 8-18, but a narrower age range is also possible. Many of the characters are not age- or gender-specific; therefore, it is at the discretion of the artistic team to determine.
Audience: TADA!'s musicals are all one-acts approximately one hour in length. They are perfect for family audiences and are recommended for children ages three and up.
Instrumentation: Most of the musicals listed are written for piano, percussion and synthesizer or bass. Instrumentation will be noted with your perusal copy.
Piano CDs: Piano-only accompaniment CDs of the scores are available for some shows and can be used for rehearsal or scaled-back performances.
Royalty & Rental Fees: The royalty fee for each musical production is $60 and a $40 charge for each performance. Scripts are $5 for each script and $15 per piano/vocal score. You are permitted to make the necessary amount of copies of our materials, but as our contract indicatesyou must destroy the materials after the end of your production.
About TADA! Plays
Cast: The cast for each play is listed at the beginning of each summary in the catalogue. Only a few plays, unlike our musicals, allow for flexible cast sizes. Also, most of the characters are gender- and age-specific, and, in some cases, adult actors are needed.
Audience: TADA!'s plays are all one-acts and less than one hour in length. Based on subject matter, our plays are recommended for three different age groups: Grades Pre-K - 3; Grades 1 - 5; and Grades 6+.
Sets & Costumes: Specific set and costume descriptions will be sent with the perusal copy. Most of the plays in this catalog were produced as staged readings and mini-productions; therefore, they can be produced with minimal or elaborate sets and costumes.
Royalty & Rental Fees: The royalty fee for each play is $30 with a $20 charge for each performance. Scripts are $5 for each script and $15 per piano/vocal score. You are permitted to make the necessary amount of copies of our materials, but as our contract indicatesyou must destroy the materials after the end of your production.
PLEASE NOTE: When marking scripts and scores, please write lightly with a pencil, and please erase all markings before returning materials. If scripts and scores are damaged or destroyed, the contracted organization will be charged a replacement fee. All materials must be returned within three weeks of the final performance date.
