Educators and Teaching Artists

TADA!'s performing arts programs and performances reach over 35,000 jschool_bleachersstudents each year.

TADA! offers evening and weekend classes at TADA! as well as in-school residencies and after-school programs at public and private schools in New York City. In addition, we offer school vacation week-longs in which teaching artists direct students in an intensive mini-musical process that culminates with a shared performance for families and friends. Teams of two teaching artists (musical director and director/choreographer) promote skills building in music and theater. Our in-house classes average from 15-20 students while residencies depend on the school class size. TADA! provides a safe and exciting environment for children to express themselves creatively as well as an opportunity to adopt an alternate learning method of in school curriculum, social issues, or original topics they choose to explore.

TADA!'s faculty consists of a diverse and talented group of musical directors, choreographers and directors dedicated to theater and education for youth of all ages. TADA! teaching artists are selected based upon their performance and experience working with children. With backgrounds varying in style, approach, and genre, TADA!'s teaching artists impart a great scope of theatrical knowledge and can accommodate a range of learning styles and personal interests. They introduce a wide array of specific skills to their classes, including vocal technique, music composition, playwriting, improvisation, character study, and movement for actors.
