Rising Star Workshop Intensives

Four 2.5-hour workshop intensives to Inspire the Artist in you! Designed to target a specific skill, you can either choose where you need the most work, an area you want to explore, or book them all and work to become a well-rounded artist.

Tuesdays, May 1st- May 22nd

Ages: 9+

Beyond the Sheet Music (Tuesday, May 1st )

You will work on 16 bars of a song from a popular Broadway musical. With one-on-one coaching and individual feedback from our expert Teaching Artists, you will explore the character, lyrics, emotions, and motivation behind the music so you can belt out your solo with confidence.

Becoming Your Character (Tuesday, May 8th)

Teaching Artists from the Broadway stage and the big screen will help you choose a monologue to explore in this workshop. Together, you will dig deeper into the material by asking questions like: Who are you? Who are you talking to? What do you want from the other characters? The takeaway: You’ll further develop your acting skills and be ready to bring any piece to performance level.

Come On & Dance With Me! (Tuesday, May 15th)

Seasoned choreographers will lead you through two challenging Broadway dance combinations. You will not only refine your dance technique but also learn what it takes to enhance your choreography with characterization and stage presence.

Get Out of the Cold (Tuesday, May 22nd)

How can you practice something you’ve never seen before? Using scenes from popular Broadway plays, our Teaching Artists will show you how to break down a script with one-on-one coaching and individual instruction. You will gain the confidence you need to perform a scene “cold.” You will never be intimidated by the phrase “cold read” again!

Audition Intensive

A 2-day workshop where you will enhance your audition skills with one-on-one coaching and feedback from theater professionals. In this workshop, you will learn new audition material and the tools needed to be successful in any audition room!

Day One: You will arrive at the theater and work on cold readings, learning how to create the essential elements of a character by exploring the text. Later on in the afternoon, you will work with our TADA! Teaching Artists on a monologue, 16 bars of a song, AND learn two Broadway-style dance combinations.

Day Two: We will continue working on your monologues and songs, receiving one-on-one coaching and individual feedback from the expert Teaching Artists at TADA!. In the afternoon, we’ll return to the dance floor and refine our Broadway choreography, adding a bit of stage presence and flair! Finally, you will put all your work ‘to the test’ in a mock audition for invited family & friends!

Registration Policies:

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis for all programs. Full payment is required upon registration in order to reserve a space in the program. Students withdrawing at least 72 hours prior to the start date will receive a full refund and an administrative fee will be charged. Students withdrawing less than 72 hours prior to the start date will receive a 50% refund and an administrative fee will be charged. No refunds will be granted after the start of a program, regardless of attendance.

TADA! reserves the right:

  • to cancel any program that does not meet enrollment requirements.
  • to use photos/videos taken during sessions for promotional purposes.
  • to take disciplinary actions, which may include expulsion from a TADA! Program.
  • to remove students and/or initiate class/camp switches for students that do not meet minimum age requirements.
