2008 Summer Camps Extended: Now through Sept. 5
Classes: During the school year, TADA! offers fall, winter and spring semesters of classes for Pre-K through Grade 8. Classes, available for the all skill and experience levels, include Creative Dramatics, Musical Play, Musical Theater Skills Building, Acting and Musical Theater Performance Workshop. TADA! classes teach theater skills and teamwork while building self-confidence in children and youth. All classes end with a final presentation for family and friends.
Camps: During school breaks and summer vacation, TADA! offers Musical Theater Week-long Camps for all ages. Create and perform a mini-musical in just five days! Professional theater artists durect scenes and musical numbers from original TADA! musicals and Broadway/Off-Broadway shows. Each week features a different theme and different teachers.
Educational Philosphy: TADA!’s goal is to provide opportunities to grow as theater artists while the grow up. TADA! balances process (learning theater skills and teamwork) with performance (final sharings of classwork). TADA! Teaching Artists use ensemble theater methods to encourage cooperation and teamwork. By providing two Teaching Artists (a director/choreographer and music director), we reinforce the idea of collaboration. All our teachers have experience in musical theater, drama and education.
