 Letter from the Executive Director

Rod Christensen, Executive Director

Why is arts education valuable?

Arts education offers invaluable opportunities to empower and transform individuals, shape society, and build essential life skills in creativity, collaboration, empathy, reflection, self-discipline, and communication. The arts are elastic and highly adaptable to various learning styles / levels.

Since 1984, Education at TADA! has grown to include a wide range of Musical Theater classes and camps that actively engage Pre-K to 12th grade students from all racial, economic, and social backgrounds. TADA! students learn, explore, and enjoy the world of Musical Theater through: 1) foundational skills of acting, singing, dancing and playwriting; 2) arts integration of classroom curriculum; and 3) building participants’ critical thinking skills, artistic expression, collaboration, and self-confidence. Based on a selected theme, we use the core elements of Musical Theater to co-creating original material with our students.

TADA! runs weekly in-school residencies, after-school programs, and school-break camps both on- and off-site giving kids valuable opportunities to learn and explore the arts using original songs from TADA! shows and age appropriate selections from Broadway/Off-Broadway productions. In keeping with our philosophy, each class and camp provide learning for a range of ages and is team-taught by two professional Teaching Artists. At TADA!, we believe that our programs challenge children to be the very best they can be!

Please contact us directly if you have any questions about our programming. We hope to see you at TADA! in a class, camp, or at one of our Resident Youth Ensemble shows very soon!
